Dr. Miguel Diaz is a board-certified family physician who has proudly served the diverse communities of the Capital Region since 1996. A fluent Spanish speaker, Dr. Diaz is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to patients of all backgrounds.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Universidad Nordestana (UNNE) – Faculty of Medical Sciences in San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic in 1989, and completed his Family Medicine residency at St. Clare’s Hospital (now Ellis Hospital) in Schenectady, New York in 1996.
Since 2005, he has served on the Community Care Physicians Advisory Board.
Dr. Diaz completed his Executive MBA at SUNY Albany in 2012.
As of January 2025, holds the position of Deputy CEO, working closely with Dr. Ronald Musto (CEO) and Dr. Shirish Parikh (Founder).
A longtime Clifton Park resident, Dr. Diaz and his wife Marilis raised their three sons—Miguel Elias (“Migue”) a Mental Health Counselor, Dr. Luis Daniel (“Danny”) a Family Physician in CCP and Jose Javier (“Javi”).
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Diaz has long been active in community outreach, contributing his time and expertise to organizations such as Equinox, Capital Region Rescue Mission, The Backtrack at Saratoga Raceway, Migrant Health Services for Upstate New York, and Triquis Sin Fronteras at SUNY Albany.
His family has been involved in organic and fair-trade Cacao farming in the Dominican Republic for five generations, a tradition he continues to enjoy.
