Biography

Dr. Miguel Diaz, MBA, works with a diverse patient population within the Capital Region as a Spanish-speaking physician. He has been board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine since 1996.

Dr. Diaz received his Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Nordestana (UNNE) – Medical Sciences Faculty in San Francisco De Macoris, Dominican Republic, and completed a family medicine residency from St. Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady, New York, in 1996.

Dr. Diaz always knew he wanted to be a doctor since his mother told him he was a “healer” at a very young age.

What he loves most about being a family doctor is receiving a sincere “thank you” from his patients—getting that acknowledgment that his team at Community Care Family Medicine matters in their patients’ lives makes his day.

Over time, Dr. Diaz has been involved in several community organizations, including Equinox, Capital Region Rescue Mission, The Backtrack at Saratoga Raceway, Migrant Health Services for Upstate New York, and Triquis Sin Fronteras (Triquis without Borders) at SUNY Albany.

Dr. Diaz and his wife raised three sons in Clifton Park. Dr. Diaz’s family has been Cacao farmers (chocolate) for generations in the Dominican Republic, and he truly enjoys engaging in this as well!
